Rose on stamped background

Seeing the photo over at TIME OUT this design quickly came  to mind.

I used several sentiment stamps from different sets and created my own background by stamping with silver ink.
Then I used an Altenew stamp and die set that came free with a magazine to make the rose.
I cut out the sentiment with a Dienamics die from the stamped paper and added a layer of black craft foam underneath it.
I drew a black line around the edge of the panel. Thi card is a 4x4 inch card.

This card is for:
TIME OUT Challenges - #81 Inspired By Photo
Shopping Our Stash - #299 A Rose By Any Other Name

Flower boys

I hope you all had a nice Easter.
I did get a lot of cards done, here's one inspired by the sketch over at Allsorts this week.

The only thing stamped here - heat embossed in white - is the sentiment. The bottom layer is an embossed paper which I covered with gelato and some mists. I used 3 different DPs. I used a die cut tree border, lace and flowers from my stash.

This card is for:
Allsorts - #410 Sketch

Crafty Creations - #339 Always Anything Goes

Have a furry Christmas

City Crafter Challenge Blog is celebrating its 7th birthday by doing CASE challenges throughout the month of April. I haven't played along as much I'd like to, but I'm going to make an effort to enter more often as I love their challenge themes.
This week it's about CASEing Ros' card, I was inspired by her cat image and musical theme, but I made a Christmas card instead of a birthday one, I hope that's OK.

I used an image and sentiment kindly sent to me by Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards, I masked the image and used a musical notes stamp and also added a die cut lamp post covered with silver EP.

This card is for:
City Crafter Challenge - #357 CASE the Designer Card
Winter Wonderland - Cute Christmas
ABC Christmas Challenge - "I" for Informal
Show us Your Pussies-Cat Only Challenge - Furrything Goes

Spring/Easter Card Kit Swap - mixed kits

This is the final post of the Card kit swap with Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards and Marina of My Perfect Life showcaseing spring/Easter themed cards. I still have several items left which will certainly be used for a later occasion.

Card 1)
I loved this little image but did spend some time on a design idea for it. I had this die cut banner from Nonni as well, and some pink enamel dots from Marina, so I went with a pink theme, using my own embossing folder and pink DI.
This card is for:
Cards und More - # 182 Monochrome
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes

Card 2)
Marina's new stamps with Easter images were so cute I had to use them all. I teamed this one up with a DP and sentiment from Nonni's kit and a flower strip and DP used for the tree from my own kit.
I framed the scene with a die cut circle and mounted it on foam onto an embossed background.
This card is for:

Spring/Easter Card Kit Swap - my kit

I'm doing a "Card Kit Swap" with Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards and Marina of My Perfect Life. Each of us has sent the others a spring/Easter themed kit and we make 2-3 cards each using mainly the same supplies, but we can add some of our own stash too as we're keeping it really simple, fun and stress-free.
Monday we showed what we've made using Marina's kit, yesterday it was Nonni's kit and toda it's mine. Tomorrow we show a few extra cards mixing the kits.
Here's a photo of my kit:

First I made my card with the bird and eggs, placing him, or her, onto the die cut branch and using a little piece og the yellow spotted paper. I added a "just a note" sentiment onto a die cut banner and added a few leaves, also die cut.
This card is for:
Happy Little Stampers - Always Anything Goes with Dies
Sweet Stampin - Mellow Yellow
Dies R Us Challenge - #70 Easter

Second I made my card with the bunnies, I masked off an area for the hill and used an own made stencil to make the cloudy sky.

Spring/Easter Card Kit Swap - Nonni's kit

I'm doing a "Card Kit Swap" with Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards and Marina of My Perfect Life. Each of us has sent the others a spring/Easter themed kir and we make 2-3 cards each using mainly the same supplies, but we can add some of our own stash too as we're keeping it really simple, fun and stress-free.
Yesterday we showed what we've made using Marina's kit, today it's Nonni's kit and tomorrow it's mine. On Thursday we show a few extra cards mixing the kits.
Here's a photo of Nonni's kit:

First I made a card with the beautiful flower bouquet from Nonni's kit. I had to get inventive here as I messed up on several things here, coloring and cutting, so behind the window it went, placed onto a sponged sky and die cut hills. The sentiment is a generic one, describing the meaning of flowers.
This card is for:
Inkspirational - Spring
Use Your Stuff - #259 Flowers
Moving along with the Times - #42 Into The Woods

Second I made a card using another of Nonni's flower images. This time I placed it onto a tag. The green DP is also from the kit.
This card is for:
Crafty Calendar - April showners/ or Spring
Through the Purple Haze - #122 Use a Tag
Sparkles Forum Challenges - #90 Let's go Green

No Housework Day

This post was meant to go live on Wednesday, but I totally missed it as I was away on holiday. Over at Catch the Bug we are celebrating odd events and holidays every Wednesday and this is a card for the "No housework day".
Jodie - the designer/owner of Bugaboo stamps shop is moving her images to a new store, this bathing woman hasn't moved yet.
I used a Tim Holtz stencil to make the bathroom wall, a chandelier stamp and a wooden one for the floor. The carpet is die cut in white leather paper.

This card is also for:
